Frida’s Mexican Restaurant needed a logo that would reflect the personality and color of the artist, Frida Kahlo. The client gave me from his native country, Mexico, some photos and references of sketches and drawings of the artist that I had never seen before. They served as a reference for the design, like the sun that is integrated into the name. I also reproduced some of her illustrations for the design of the restaurant menu. In this way, we achieved the genuine image needed with the spirit of Frida Kahlo’s art.
